Deep ruby colour with cassis, black plum and a touch of cedar. Silky texture balanced by fresh acidity and ripe, integrated tannins. Dark‑fruited finish with hints of cocoa and baking spice. Off‑dry balance adds roundness without losing freshness.
Takar – Reserve Red 2016
Takar Reserve is an amazing blend of the oldest native Armenian grape variety Areni, grown in the Vayots Dzor region, and the Saperavi grape variety from Ararat Valley. The Ararat grape predominant in this wine is grown in the highlands in a severe continental climate, 1400-1500 meters above sea level. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months.
This premium wine with a limited edition offers a perfect combination of fruit aromas (cherry, grape, plum, blackberry) and oak barrel aromas (vanilla, licorice, gingerbread) together with a nice floral fragrance. The wine becomes rather impressive in the mouth when its full-bodied structure leaves a rich and long-lasting aftertaste.
